Wednesday, September 2nd at Lonergan Park (located behind Goldberg's on Rt. 11). This concert was rescheduled from July 1st (due to rain). Don't miss being entertained by this popular band. The concert is from 6:00-8:00pm, but feel free to come early to enjoy food catered by Crittela's Take Out. A delicious, family priced meal may be purchased beginning at 5:45pm. Bring your family, friends, and a lawn chair for a delightful evening with music and dancin' in the park. This is the last concert of the season. Concerts are free and open to the public. In the event of rain, a decision will be made by 3:30pm. Call 458-8050 for details. If cancelled due to rain, this concert will be held the following evening, September 3rd. Description:
The last of the Oxford Community Band's Summer Concert Series is tonight, the first Thursday in August, at 7:00 PM at the Oxford Historical Society's Depot-Museum (at 1 Depot Street). This concert is the Museum's annual Ice Cream Social!!! Inside the Museum will be a special exhibit.The group (of approximately thirty members, ranging in age from school students to senior citizens), will play moderate grade marches, show tunes, overtures and novelty selections for the enjoyment of the Oxford community. Visiting Oxford Band alumnae are encouraged to make themselves known to the group or bring an instrument and sit in with them.
