Victim of Dad's Identity Theft Baldwinsville NY

My father opened a credit card account in my name when I was 16 years old. I did not sign for it. I found out that he has charged almost $8,000. I am only 20 years old and cannot pay. My father has left us and if I ever have a chance to buy a home in the future, this will have ruined my credit. Could you please advise me how to remove my name from this account since I was a minor when it was opened?
