The Opera 16 x 16 production switcher from Echolab is encased in a 16-input chassis that provides simultaneous outputs of 16 SDI, eight composite analog, and four component analog signal channels. Such flexibility allows for greater allocation of clean feeds and aux M/E outputs, according to the company. The new “floating” internal frame synchronization and storage options for each input eliminate the need for genlocked sources and external A-to-D converters, which reduces overall system costs. Price: N/A. Echolab. 978-715-1020. www.echolab.com.
